I don’t want em you can have em

Absolutely !

How difficult is it to set up a relay?

The simplest way --> umbrel

But i can read lightning quick from mine as well, so not just write for backup.

I would its easy if you know a tiny bit of linux. I read mainly from my own relay now and its very quick and i have a local copy of my notes. (Profile etc). Cool tech to expiriment with. I run this one: https://github.com/hoytech/strfry . Let me know if you need help setting it up.

Setup free or paid? Are following a guide?

Well you need a box to run it on but the software is free. I run this one and it has a guide: https://github.com/hoytech/strfry

Its VERY quick too.

Thanks, just started an Ubuntu 22 to try a nostr relay

Yeah run strfry, seems to be the fastest, got a major jackzap recently and damus relay is running it too. Only all damus users share it ... This one would be your personal relay..
