I think one thing to consider is all the previous iterations needed infrastructure to get adopted. With AI, all that work is done already, so it’s as easy as opening a web browser to use so of course there is a huge shortcut to adoption over the other’s.
Peak internet adoption was years ago. What happpened?
I'd love to know the breakdown of people really using it vs people who just type a search in on google and get the AI summary.
It's easy to inflate the user numbers by making it impossible to use existing everyday tools without using it accidentally.
