Bitcoin needs internet to work. And all the places you want to use bitcoin at usually don’t have good internet (mall, bar, conference, etc)
That’s why a lot of the videos we see of lightning transactions failing in events. It’s a physics limitation right now since we depend on cellular, and wifi is usually closed.
Internet is not truly available as we think it is. We don’t notice how many times we open an app and it doesn’t load, because it’s not critical. But for critical stuff like payments. It still really sucks.
