The first cds I bought twenty years ago were Goo Goo Dolls’ Dizzy Up the Girl and Ricky Martin’s self titled 1999 album with the bangers Livin la Vida Loca and Shake your Bon Bon.

All things considered I turned out ok, but for a brief moment there in 1999 it looked pretty shaky for young Zach.

P.S. purchased the cds at a Warehouse Music too. Few.

P.S.S. Goo Goo Dolls still hits.

🤣 I love that you linked an explanation of CD’s.

My first CD was Nirvana’s Nevermind. I’d love to claim I was really cool. However I was just really young and had an intense baby phase. If they had picked other cover art I probably wouldn’t have gotten so into grunge.

😂😂 great cd and great reason for purchasing the cd. Funny to think another cover wouldn’t have caught you same way. Baby pics ftw!

I got so into grunge because of that album. My sister introducing me to Green Day’s Dookie was another pivotal musical moment in my life from the 90’s.

🤙 I remember first being exposed to Green Day watching their music videos on mtv, and absolutely loving it. Wonderful times!

There’s something magical about when people share music and the fandom grows.

Absolutely. 🤙

* just realized it was 25 years ago almost in 1999, time flies, I’m getting old!

is it bad that i read cds as credit default swaps

😂😂 It either means NGMI or WAGMI but only time will tell!

You said dizzy up the girl, thought you said everything but the girl. This song is nice

#[1] did the movie City of Angels introduce you to the Goo Goo Dolls? I also owned Dizzy Up the Girl on CD back in the day.

I think it was STAR 98.7 with Ryan Seacrest riding around with my mom in her car that did it! 😂😂 back in Ryan’s early days!

Well if you haven’t seen City of Angels, it’s a must watch. Hell I may watch it again if I can find where it’s streaming.

The one with Nic Cage and Meg Ryan?

Looks good. I’ll have to check it out.

That’s the one

I've seen goo goo dolls 4 times and never been disappointed

I don't remember my 1st cd but I do remember my 1st cassette and it was Vanilla Ice ice ice baby.

1999 😅 … I think I was deep into the Rave scene then.

The first cd I remember buting for myself was the Spice Girls 🙈

Legit. Which spice girl do you most identify with?

Today? Ginger for sure

This takes me back to the days Ricky Martin’s shirtless pic was up in my bedroom. Oh how things change so swiftly…
