Replying to Leafophonist

I have been using scrivener for a while but obsidian looks like better software yor my needs. It has a sleek app too. I am planning on switching to linux which is how i found obsidian in the first place. In terms of writing a dissertation i am not sure how to use obsidain for the actual write up but i see there are plenty plugins to help with any use case needed.

I think Obsidian would be great for that. You could take loads of individual notes and find ways to link them altogether.

I've even seen plugins that help generate lists of all content with particular hashtags or combinations of hashtags, which I imagine would be ultra-helpful for academic writing.

Out of curiosity, what are you looking to do your dissertation on?
