cactus soil
hard water
for me lots of sunshine is good, temps dont go over 33 Celcius in the summer, for you, you probably need to give it shade if you say everything overheats. Fertilize the soil during the growing season.
Winter time i have to take mine indoors, i have to make sure that the house humidity stays above 45 % because of the heating required.
I have a floor fan running next to the tree all winter for 6 hours a day.
I feed it with foliar fertilizer only and reverse osmosis water during the winter season but water much less and fertilize much less.
Winter time indoors it gets very finicky and picky and the slightest thing i do wrong upsets it.
Summer time outdoors it thrives. It is 5 years now, about 3 feet tall, 2 wooden thick main leading branches (I know I know i shuld have kept it to 1, but I didnt have the heart at the time, now im paying the price).
next week is supposed to be our last night with freezing temperatures and snow, so next weekend I am hoping to move it outdoors gradually to stay outdoors for the rest of spring summer and early fall.
Lime tree. Going in that big pot once I get some dirt
