If you're a serious Bitcoiner:

🛑 You do not have your signing device (holding your main stack) at your house

🛑 You do not have your full recovery phrase written on paper (or steel)

🛑 You do not keep your recovery phrase and signing device in the same location

🛑 You do not tell anyone how many sats you have - EVER

🟢 You DO utilize the freedom tools available like lightning, liquid, ecash, nostr

🟢 You DO use an airgapped signing device that has never touched the internet and does not plug into a laptop

🟢 You DO use Sparrow wallet to label your UTXOs and separate your KYC from NON KYC sats

🟢 You DO get really fuckin excited when the exchange rate of Bitcoin drops and you get more real money for the same amount of fake money

You only get ONE real shot at Bitcoin

Take some action. Get it right.

Depends on what you mean by "full recovery phrase." Exposing half of your recovery phrase makes the rest of the phrase easier to brute force.

If you mean splitting it up with XOR, you keep the integrity of the cryptography with exposing your full seed.

The drawback is that it's more complicated and you should make multiple geographically distributed copies, in steel to avoid a single point of failure. The same is true of a passphrase and if you make a mistake you will need to either brute force it yourself or hodl forever.

Maybe I just haven't had my coffee yet... but I'm hitting the mute button.

You can unfollow too while you're at it!

if the recovery words are not on steel and hidden, what else would you recommend?
