Took my wife's 20yr old second cousin from Holland to the range today. His first time shooting rifles.

We ran into a couple of guys shooting this setup. Some sort of 6mm short round. Put the crosshairs on a gong at 300 yards and plink. Easiest shot I've ever taken. Needless to say the cousin was digging it.

Looks like a beautiful day for it!

Twas indeed. Great first day.

Probably 6.5 Creedmore. Looks like a great day to introduce someone to shooting.

Not a creedmoor. Similar bullet shape but they said it was 6mm. The shell was short and fat. Very interesting looking around.

Wasn’t 6.5 Grendel was it?

Or maybe 6mm ARC?

That may be it. I was just looking at the 6mm PPC as well.

Yeah, could be that too. They’re all three short and stout, grendel being 6.5x39, ARC being 6x38, and PRC being 6x31

It was amazingly accurate.

Yeah I’m a 6.5 Grendel fan personally. There’s dudes out there with 12.5” barrels popping 1k yard targets. The round stays supersonic past 800 yds out a 10.5”.

These guys said they where mailing targets at 1100 yards. I saw their targets at 300 and they were tight.
