Is there any downside to cold storing my sats using Legacy addresses that start with "1" rather than Segwit addresses which starts with "bc1"?

Transactions fees would be higher when moving coins. Some devs like lukedashr also think they are safer , and I also heard that in case of a fork , in some way legacys are safer, can't explain why. Luke lost his coins tho ..
