And I didn't even think about the fact that someone might bring a dog or a baby, or something. A rented apartment or house is much better for that, than a restaurant.

They could probably make it to one quiet place and just chill there with us, but they wouldn't be able to join a pub crawl through the city.
If you have a home base, a group can do the pub crawl and the rest can keep chilling. 🤔

i went out on one, one time, and saw this awesome indy metal band playing in this area that was like a 17th century dungeon wine cellar, for real, was awesome, but man i got way way too drunk lol
I used to arrange this sort of informal house party for our development team. We'd rent a big house and bought food and drink, and then we'd split the check, and some people would come early or stay late and talk shop.
And we'd have a bonfire and roast marshmellows and bratwurst. Was fun.
We did it out in the country, on a good train/autobahn route, and just made sure that there was an actual inn, nearby, so that everyone could rent a room.
there is a little cafe/bar near me called As Caboquinhas (the name of a tool for making fruit punch drinks) run by a dude and his two 20-something daughters, and their burgers are great and the vibe there is so family, almost a bit overwhelming for me as a stranger to be there when the big crowd shows up on sundays and such
such places exist in the world but mostly in rural areas
Yeah, we have places like that, here. That's what I'm used to.
