My view (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcoin) is quite different and seems to be more factual: "Bitcoin (abbreviation: BTC[a] or XBT;[b] sign: ₿) is a decentralized digital currency. Bitcoin transactions are verified by network nodes through cryptography and recorded in a public distributed ledger called a blockchain. The cryptocurrency was invented in 2008 by an unknown entity under the name Satoshi Nakamoto [...]"

right, "it starts with" is not correct, but my screenshot follows your paragraph.

True 👍 - In preparation for a new #Bitcoin meetup in my town, I am (once more) updating my onboarding process for people who want to get started. Of course, hiding my enthusiasm for Bitcoin is impossible, but I am contemplating giving people time to chew a bit on their own reservations. While I'll do my best to counter false narratives (I like the On The Brink FUD dice ), I won't pretend to know the future. Hence, perhaps the Wikipedia paragraph you outlined serves "our" purpose after all by pushing people off until they are ready to go.
