hopefully bitcoin transaction demand goes down, which will drive down fees, and give us all a little more time to prepare for eventual sustained high fees

the only safe assumption is that will not happen but hopefully it does!

Am I understanding that if they don't BTC I possess could get trapped, unless I deposit it into a lightning channel or something?

Bitcoin is never trapped. It will just cost more to send

In theory though if I don't move I could effectively be priced out of sending it in the future. Or am I not understanding?

Well the fees could cost more than what you have that is possible yes.

In my opinion fees will always be something that fluctuates so unless you have very little sata it's not something to worry about. And if you do worry then it's time to stay humble and stack more sats ;)

Okay. So right now I'm just getting swept up in the hubbub. Fees are just high relative to recent history. Not unaffordable. There is still time to get setup and move up to an L2 (lightning). But with a sense of urgency.

Nevermind will read the post from nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx. Thanks for the reply.

Ever the optimist

I was listening to someone involved in Chaumian blinding last night. Does ecash/mints provide any solution for this?

Fuck poor people

Wait wait wait, I thought you wanted and we're betting on high fee environments??

Which is it Mr. Odell.

The high fees really suck to be honest, have to humble myself everytime I think of why the fees are up like this. These degens are laughing their asses off for how they can impact our economy around bitcoin.

I still hope we can move them over to liquid...

Will the small whirlpool UTXO's soon be unspendable?

Theoretically if demand continues, doesn't that attract more miners and nodes and price goes down?

Why not just use Monero
