EU banning anonymous bitcoin payments without any threshold might be the single most effective attack on european bitcoiners so far. It makes legal bitcoin payments practically infeasible. The "then they fight you" phase is getting intense.

We don't comply. Easy.

Businesses will comply or be forced to move outside EU. Few will.

We need decentralised businesses.

There is Nostr. Bitrefill could move their offers to Nostr and be an "anonymous" company.

Would love to see this but I doubt it will happen. I think Bitrefill will comply to not take a profitability hit.

I dont know if many ppl would KYC to buy gift cards with bitcoin.

Bitrefill will get rekt by this for sure.

Dependes on the business, small local business should be fine taking payments in person.

This is the way, honestly. We do not kneel. Everything grassroots.

To my knowledge the city of Lugano will be the only european bitcoin hub not affected by this. Though they might take the overcompliance route nevertheless.
