While it’s understandable that the artists are frustrated, vandalizing someone’s property isn’t the way to make a point. The bar owner has every right to choose how to run their business, including using AI-generated art if it fits their budget. Targeting a small business owner, who’s probably just trying to stay afloat, feels misplaced. Instead of defacing property, why not focus on raising awareness or creating opportunities that show the value of real artists? Actions like this don’t win people over—they just undermine the message.

Especially a bar owner. They got screwed over by our government from 2020 to 2023 to the point where many of them shut down permanently. If I was a bar owner and needed a quick image for a poster that was going to be up for ~1 month I ain’t commissioning an artist.
Graffiti that targets an individual- especially their place of business or home is not a great way to make a point. Unless you have done something really messed up! Not for hosting an 80s night with about 30 people showing up to drink the cheapest beer you have on tap.
