5k buyin... weak
Discussion
Was fun. Let's do again
Maybe tomorrow!?! 😝
You play around what time?
Might be Down for small "friendly" game 😈
Is friendly inexpensive?
25k buyin, 150/300 blinds
So yeah imo.
25k buyin is like 30$ now. And 150/300 blinds are literally like 20/40c blinds.
Not expensive. Pretty mid. And actually good for beginners cuz they get to play real hands against good decisions.
100$/1$/2$ games wouldn’t be a bad option for the “high stakes” table to move some of the sharks off the table.
the 5k table is cheap for the low stakes I suppose it can be used for people that have never played poker before. but for actual game play I t causes irrational decision making because the stakes are too low, which is bad for beginners because it makes it more like blackjack dependent on one hands card draw.
I’d suggest moving sharks up to a high stakes table rather than noobs down to a cheaper one. The 25k table is actually a good intro table
Well said. If you see people going all
In pre flop the buy in is to low.
I both wanna be considered a shark, yet wanna play at 25k table, as I don't expect there'll be much action at 100k. Not to mention the shakiness of the platform; I might steam a bit if I lost 200 bucks while game froze
Would be fun to do some 100k high roller nights a few times a year. Will make for some good stories in the future 😆
Yeah, I'd totally still do it. Despite the risk lol. Adds to the adrenaline.
Maybe some HU or 3-4 player games could happen on occasion..
Yah I’d guess high stakes would be 3-4 players maybe 5 or 6?if the game gains traction and seats are regularly full and the same core players are sucking up the sats they’d be asked to move up and make room at the basic table
I played "$20" no limit hold em home game tournents once a month in 2015. Priced in sats, I could play the main event at the WSOP for the same amount. That's wild.
Then there would be a second 25k table. My point is that lower stakes is not the answer.
25k sounds like a great casual amount. Y’all still accepting plebs and can players buy in multiple times?
Yeah it's cash game, so no busting out so long as you deposit.
Site is lightning-poker.com but need vpn if in US. You can check it out now, but likely all empty tables lol
Nice! I’m going to go re-up Mullvad and check out the site then
I’m not going to need to sign in with Twitter, right?
I’m imagining I just have to make sure to withdraw my balance before closing the site
Exactly. Just QR codes in n out for lightning.
Yo de la he who
Are you down to play some hands tonight?
Going to start up a game in a lil bit
It was fun! Hope you can be at the table next time 😅
It's over?! Damn. Puzzle effed everything up again. This morning, we were talking about playing tomorrow. Ffwd a few hours, "poker in 2 hours" smh
I’m afraid I may have acted as a catalyst
i can put myself in the mindset to play at any buy-in, sats=sats, but the second a shark starts sharking it all goes to all-in on dumb hands yeah.. 😂
either way, im down for anything tho at the 25k table i can only feel good about playing that once a week or the losses start to feel too damn high 🌝
Totally agree with the 25k loss not too often
You know, you can also win sometimes
That’s what the shark usually says before taking my sats 🤭
Seriously that is kinda the beauty of games with high mix of chance in em. Starting to suspect noshole is the real shark. Further research required 👀
This is true (about the high mix of chance). Never played with any of you guys yet. Starting to think I should play at the kids table 🤣🤣
