I try to consume as little mass media as possible, and take what I do with good quantities of salt. I don't do socials outside of Nostr either, that's a big help.

I'm in Alberta, probably the most conservative area in the country. I've got friends who are part of the pride association, friends who are oil riggers, and a friend who owns a ranch. We all get together on weekends sometimes to let our dogs play together 😂 I assume and hope irl is the same in America, most of the stuff in the media is blown out of proportion to create fear.
