Welcome! Nostr is an eclectic group of individuals, I'm no exception. My background and experience covers so many diverse topics that don't seem to make sense - unless you're me and lived them. But that's also what makes this place amazing. At any time, any given person can be passionate about the same obscure thing as you - if you are willing to take the first step and post about it. It's nice to have met you along the way, for whatever odd topic I posted that caught your attention. Join in, post some notes, follow some more people, start zapping others - see the magic happen!
That’s what been so great. I’m new to bitcoin and have so much to learn, but I work at it.
But I’ve been a fan of Hugh for a long time, so to see you post one of his cards to make a point is unbelievable.
“On the outside” I need to be active on a couple of social platforms for my job, but it’s fatiguing. I’m fortunate to make a modest living the way I do, but I’m rarely reading things that prick my brain.

Everyone who embraces both Nostr and Bitcoin seems to share a common wavelength. That’s what makes this space special.
You find others with the same “obscure” interests you thought were yours alone, and that’s rare. There’s a deeper appreciation here - something you can’t easily find elsewhere. It’s a rabbit hole, for sure, and I’m still learning myself. But that’s what makes it fun and enduring.

Bitcoiners often talk about Bitcoin as a rabbit hole... No, it is the opposite. You were born in a rabbit hole - the fiat world. A whole system set up by banks and the elite to keep you under control and them in power.
When you start to learn about Bitcoin, you are digging yourself out of the fiat rabbit hole. This is why, as you learn, you feel less limited, less stressed, less constrained, more free and hopeful.
You are leaving behind a world governed by murky politics, shadowy figures, centralized power and influence, and bondage - a degenerate and collapsing world built on empty promises.
And you are entering a world built on truth, math, decentralized influence, potential, and creative expansion. This is why Nostr feels like a positive place - people here are hopeful, feeling the warmth of the sun, seeing the horizon and breathing fresh air.
You are crawling out of Plato's cave and entering the sunlight for the first time.

Bitcoin is a very high-risk investment because it's a volatile asset. That means that Bitcoin values may rise or fall dramatically in value over a very short period_ even as quickly as a few hours or days. Like all cryptocurrencies and a good mentor will guide you through this though period to make even with the current drop in cryptocurrencies, I still thank you for the balance financial advice. I started investing in stocks and cryptocurrencies with $1,000 and since I've been following you already! Lol jobless claims up all the right things that show higher rates are doing the job and the market goes up inflation with the best way to find the balance between saving.

Ha! Over time you’ll notice I have a very specific design aesthetic that appeals to me and what I strive for. My watches are tool watches, things all serve a purpose, form follows function. Everything necessary and nothing more.
