How come hospitals ALWAYS try to overcharge?
I pay my entire bill immediately every time I can, and they ALWAYS try to bill me for more a few weeks later.

Egscuse me, ser! You seem to have forgotten to pay the 30% service fee for our dedicated nursing staff.
Not a burger so not sure how well this works but supposedly you shouldn't just pay the bill, you should treat it like a business negotiation. This is pretty alien to me but considering how much US healthcare costs, perhaps it's worth it.

That’s not how it works.
There might be some edge cases where you can negotiate, but it’s usually more trouble than just paying it.
Fair enough, it does sound weird but I've seen it mentioned a bunch of times and thought it might be worth it if it's straining your finances.
