I remember this sheikh saying at one point that Bitcoin is considered haram because it had no intrinsic value and it is too volatile.

Funny how all of that doesn't matter since he's been censored from the fiat system. Funny how that rigid approach to Fiqh doesn't matter when reality hits.

Anyway, welcome to the club.

Unfortunately, for most people, things aren’t problems until they are problems for them…

He said that it's not any more haram than fiat. He believes on gold and silver are halal since it’s the only legislated form of money in the Sunnah.

'legislated' lol if you read the books of sharia economics you will find the majority say that anything can be used as a currency (as long as they possess some varying characteristics).

Ibn tayymiyyahs expertise is economics, read what he says about shariah currencies.

His lightbulb moment

He said he’s been facing this for 20 years and still said bitcoin has no intrinsic value?

He can comprehend the boot on his neck but doesn’t understand how it’s possible?

Many such cases. Launchgood comes to mind. They've been debanked so many times and they still don't get it
