i've just ordered the 75mm diameter/200kg holding force option of this product... i figure i'll use that handy centre ring and put two of them face to face (i assume they have screws on either side so they can actually be paired like this - otherwise i guess i use the side loop to string them to a snugly fit paracord around my neck)

200kg pulling force is a pretty strong magnetic field, i'm pretty sure that metallic objects within 4-5" will jump straight to this thing and that is the hard strength part of the field, since fields decay by inverse square, it should exert a substantial deflection effect on x/gamma/cosmic and general RF waves that come near my head to the extent of my whole head, and reach down to shield my heart a little as well

if the earth's magnetism is getting weak, then wearing magnets is definitely gonna give some extra shielding against radiation... the whole reason why life exists on this planet is the magnetic field, without it, DNA

is destroyed by ionising radiation

so, it probably will at least reduce the chances of me getting cancer around that entire region where i wear it

plus it will be a fun party trick to demonstrate it being used to pick up incredibly heavy objects, certainly any given gym weight will stick to this thing and not let go

i'm guessing that probably they are shipped as a pair and they are paired in that the axial bolt thread on each is on the opposite side, at least, if not double sided... i've handled bigger neodymium magnets and there's no way they wouldn't make them prone to sticking together for packaging, and that would mean putting either dual thread holes or each one threaded opposite pole, meaning they can stick together

we'll see i guess haha, if it's not, then i just thread them on the side and that's that, the opposite central is more safe though i think, less likely to jump around when a heavy ferromagnetic object passes close

About the magnetic pole shifts ^^

now, i understand why mountains are so important

many volcanic soils are paramagnetic, and some substantial amount are ferromagnetic

i grew up on a mountain most of my school years where the soil was red, and one of the most common minerals you found in the ground was little chunks of hematite you could find anywhere after digging for half an hour or so

most mountains are rich in ferromagnetic materials, and paramagnetic minerals, which are magnetically permeable which means they align with magnetic fields

man, i never heard about this stuff he's saying though... a clear evidence of 12000 years rotations of the earth's magnetic field, over and over again

anyway, two things:

one, the earth's crust is going to rotate... this means there will be a massive kinetic event that will cause ocean water to fall one direction and then splash back the other way

so, first of all, you need to be at a high altitude, so, mountains for a start

strong magnetic permeability of the earth around us, this helps a lot, in general, protecting you from the radiation

high altitude because that at some point there will be epic, maybe 1km tall tsunamis but not from explosions under the ground, and volcanoes and such, well, in this case because the whole crust of the earth is rotating to align the magnetic poles of the crust vs the core

Ben from Suspicious Observers says that there are a number of places that will be safe, and that the likely new poles are going to be more or less the indian ocean and the the other roughly in the carribean sea, and the best places to be will be the eastern rockies, eastern mountains of spain, the western balkans, and the mountains around mongolia, the center of australia, and the mountains at the south of south america

i'm here on this island, and i know it's a good spot to be, from 1km altitude upwards, that is definitely one big area real close to me, as it is i'm already at 400m now, i think at this height it might be ok, and the other thing, is that it's almost 90 degrees opposite, meaning the rotational velocity of the future rotation will mean this is a relative still eye of the storm, so to speak

i have no idea, but i'm here and i know that if the volcanoes here don't get lively, and you set up in a stable part of the ground with a shit-ton of rock under you, and high enough, it is probably safe

it's unknown exactly where and when it's going to happen

i'm torn about all this... i have in my mind 3 possible migration destinations, southern siberia around Altai and either that or northeast Bosnia or eastern rockies where Ben of SO is based

i like bosnia a lot

i've been drawn to siberia for a long time

and the current market situation in the eastern rockies is very favorable for many of my personal interests

i'm torn, each of these options have benefit, but i can't help but agree with Ben that the eastern rockies are probably one of the safest places to be, but in an absolute sense, mongolia/siberia are the safest ground at all, and the balkans, is something in between in both respects

regarding this idea that semiconductors or electric grids accelerated anything, that's nonsense, what is clear though is that in the current situation, such technologies being the primary dependency of human society is a very bad idea

first, the microwave radios will be the first to go, they are low hanging fruit for a decaying magnetic field and the lowest voltage required to destroy them virtually everywhere, in terms of an ~X20 solar event

second, the power grids themselves will fail in the event of an X30, and X40 they are pretty much gonna be mostly gone

regarding the microwave radios, IMO it's a given that at some point in the future soon, maybe in the next 10 years, the solar flares and weakening field will make then unviable technology, and for the most part copper wire networks will only work where they are STP or buried a metre ungerground at least, and realistically, in 15 years we colud be in a situation where only optic fibre survives this, and electronic devices above ground have to be shielded with tin to prevent failure due to X/Gamma rays

but when shtf all bets are off, it could be a decade or more of zero functioning of electronic devices at all, we will be entirely dependent on burning carbon and animal muscles

so, i think the smart move is to get into place at a high altitude, far from sea location in the next 5 years, and to build structures that are shielded from radiation (literally tin foil) and set up food production right nearby, and stash a shit-ton of excess, so produce as much as you can, sell much of it but turn as much as possible into 5+ year storables, stashed in a shielded underground cache that you clear out every winter to keep it cycling until some exceptional cold/wet/snow type event that may mean you are stuck living off it for 2 years straight

it's not funny, and it's not a joke, and there is many hints that maybe our ancient ancestors already figured this out and are sitting up there watching us and ready to help us out, but i think it's not sane to not think about this and move to the safe places, low population, high altitude, distant from oceans, and get into animal husbandry asap

when i think about it in light of what bible prophecy says about bad guys hiding in the mountains and the mountains falling on them is quite interesting though

i mean, all of this science is pretty much cut an dried as far as i can tell, we are gonna go through this in the next 50 years and some of us are gonna survive, probably

but it should be pointed out that ~75000 years ago an event occurred in which only ~5000 humans actually survived

and it's not infeasible that we could see such a similarly intense cycle this time

and it's not prudent to trust in our cousins in space to evac us, even if they mean well

which means that the number one criteria one should look at for where to go, is where are the least number of people

the more people, the higher risk of people related bullshit, ie, psychopaths with too much influence and resources in their control

this one thing puts me squarely in the feasibility of siberia as the best possible location, because it's already very sparsely populated, it's physically the best position in terms of not being washed away, the people there are very down to earth, even their popstars sing about spirituality lol, and the population density is so low

i've been trying to figure out what to do but after this thinking and new information i'm more and more of the opinion that i want to be in southern siberia, near the plateau of mongolia, in the high mountains
