Probably not in the way i think you mean. When im feeing rabbit hole-ish i just make a big pot of coffee at night, and start digging in a direction, and look for correlations, put some in an org doc, and revisit them if i come across something that seems related.

honestly reading some obscure thing on the internet and trying to filter out various forms of bias to the best of my ability, late at night, with some defcon radio going in the background is one of my favorite things.
