This server is the only virtual circular economy I am aware of using Lightning as the in-game currency so that players are actually paying each other using Lightning invoices. Anyone know of another example of a Bitcoin-enabled game that isn't just "play this game to get sats that are paid for by forcing you to watch ads" but actually involves player-to-player Lightning payments?

Is this different from the Orange Rust server? If I remember that correctly, there was no in-game, player-to-player economy using sats as the currency. Just sats as rewards for collecting blood bags.
Slightly. We are a part of their community but since you probably last seen it I developed a new plugin that allows a more interactive way of playing on the server. Players can now send and receive sats directly inside the game using chat commands like /buyblood to put sats into the game as the in-game asset blood and /sendblood # lightning@address.com to convert that in-game asset back into sats via lightning. The plugin is live on all of the servers now. Tangerine also has a direct market where everything in the game is tradeable against blood. If a player needs a gun they can go a NPC vendor and deposit sats that allow any other player to trade their guns for those sats. Orange expanded to offer a second server called Mandarin that is PVE based. I then launched Tangerine that is a middle ground between the PVP style of Orange and the PVE nature of Mandarin that has PVP zones around high value monuments but still allows players to live a safe life in the PVE areas.
Tangerine also launched a slightly different rewards mechanism. Instead of finding blood, players need to build a computer station and then search out Bitaxe models from across the map. As they put their miners in the computer station they create Hash. Players then take that Hash to the major safe zones (Outpost & Bandit Camp) and deposit it in a special box that removes the Hash from the game and credits their account. At the end of the wipe we reward players based on their % of deposits with the equal % of the wipe rewards pool (similar to a FPPS mining pool). During the next wipe they issue the command /claim to get a deposit of blood that they can then trade with other players or withdraw to their own lightning wallet.
So there is no use of sats in game, just the ability to withdraw sats as rewards, right?
Sovereign Craft is natively lightning in game in a transparent way. Every in game transaction is a real lightning transaction with a real invoice behind the scene. The player may not even realize it. The in game wallets can be used IRL natively without transfer. The wallet works when the game is down. There is no in game money, the game is in fact just a VERY Fast to the wallet on the node.
Are the game wallets NWC or hosted by the game?

So players don't actually take custody until they withdraw off the custodial held LNBits server? I fail to see the difference from sats being an in-game asset
Do players have a lightning address that can receive blood as zaps?

If SoapMiner will accept it straight to a lightning address then sure. We don't yet work with bolt11 invoices until the full GUI is finished.
That being said we'd prefer players take custody of their earnings and not use our game as their wallet. We're here to provide a game experience not a wallet service.
That's fair, and I would definitely prefer to see Sovereign Craft use NWC, but it was created with easy onboarding for those who haven't ever used Bitcoin in mind.
No, sats (represented as blood) is the highest valued currency in game. We introduced a stock market style setup where players can place a buy order for any in-game item (let's say a gun) and then other players can sell that item to the other player for sats(blood). Anything in the game can be purchased with sats from other players creating a PoW where the player finding and producing tools/resources gets the reward from another player that needs those items.
Yeah, that's just blood and calling them sats because its redeemable for sats.
Not actually using sats in game with real Lightning transactions between players.
So again, I say, Sovereign Craft is the only one I am aware of.
I'd prefer something that involves player to player doggie coin or Monero payments
Or something that uses player's systems to run its own open decentralized blockchain with NFTs for in game items
