I've noticed that #Garnet displays data of who sends tips through the app in #monero and how much. I would rather that information be private, similar to zapping people totally anonymously. I'm sure the issue could be remedied but it's surprising to me that this information is trackable in app regardless. I think it better to run normal amethyst and simply add an #xmr subaddress to the bio section so as to remove the garnet built in primary wallet visible to all using garnet. Seems like user friendliness comes at the cost of reduced privacy. Maybe I'm being over paranoid.

By default it shouldn't do that, but users can display that if they choose too, maybe those users tipping you chose to turn that option on?

Yeah, that's not the app tracking XMR transactions, that's the app deliberately sending a note to relays to show them publicly. You can decide when you send xmr with garnet whether you want it to do this. You can send them private too if you want, which would just be sending an XMR transaction and no note to a relay.

I send them private sometimes, but I like to publicize them most of the time because it helps people see that XMR tips are actually flowing around and gets people excited and encourages everyone to do it also.
