A user adoption slump in an early protocol is like catching a nice little swimming pool when quiet, you can float about and have room to think. With too many people it's loud and the water gets choppy. As the protocol matures the swimming pool getting bigger, so when users return they're less annoying.

Happened in lightning during covid slump, and was a great time to float about and think/build.

People are so desperate to#grownostr but it's good already. Why ruin it with crowds?
