There seems to be some misunderstanding, I'm not suggesting we have hardware signers for this.

Stopgap should be phone signer app that works with other web apps for signing on policy base. This is specially critical for web clients. Needs to be very seamless UX.

Later, ideally we use frost for some thresholds based on event type.

Nsec.app / Amber 👀

Don't see it on the app store

Don't look on the Appstore. 😅

nsec.app works from your browser

Amber is for Android.

Apple is Apple.

I'm literally saying we need non browser solutions 😂

Amber is an android app from F-droid. I use it to sign my nostr events. Signing this now...

I tried to add to the app store.

Besides the KYC after the app was approved they showed my real name and real address to everyone.

You can use zap.store, fdroid or obtainium for now

There's also nsec.app for the browser and apple

Don't know if anyone is working in a signer for apple

Yes it sucks. But Setup a cheap LLC, it's the easiest way around it.

great!

Why *aren't * you suggesting hardware signers?

Because it's too much UX hassle where every single interaction is signed

If you're not on a mobile device, the YubiKey model works pretty well.

This has been top of mind as I've been quietly working on a plugin for something to onboard more people into nostr but I've been pushing this bit off for lower hanging fruit

grumble grumble something something mobile bunker BBQr
