Possibly a dumb move being so public about it. I wonder who they get their bandwith and cloud computing from. I wonder how those parties feel about Russel and Rumbles response. I wonder how people they do business with will look at it. This might be the first (and last) real test for Rumble. Hopefully if it does get ugly for Rumble Nostr can be there to fix the problem
I don't think it's dumb, it's important to stand up against these morons and tyrants, and on Rumble's behalf this is bullish. The whole premise of Rumble is for them to do exactly this - not censor people over the hysterical, moralizing busybody class. By standing firm in their values as a company, they are fulfilling their vows and duties to their shareholders who expect them to have the balls to refuse to go along with the canceling mob.
I'll buy more Rumble stock just because of this, and I'd suspect I'm not the only one. Time to put our money where our mouths are.
I totally see your point though, it's a risk and will draw ire from the wokesters, but fuck them. Even Nick Fuentes has a large and growing library of live streams and uploaded content on his own platform, Cozy TV + Rumble.
If Rumble survived the threats about Fuentes, Russell Brand's 20 year old shallow, hollow sexual assault allegations shouldn't be an issue. I really do believe that the corporates & Leftists *appear* to be more scary & powerful than they really are. The sheer size of their corporations can be enough to scare most into submission, but when you give them finger & refuse to fall in line, there's really only so much they can do. They can go fuck themselves.
Bullish on Rumble, Nostr, and Bitcoin to fix the threats to our first amendment and our monetary system's punitive & limpwristed debasement + control mechanisms. Threats ring hollow when you have unstoppable alternatives.

I think people are waking up to the manipulation, and getting sick of it.. Yes bumble might take a hit, but they will also be known as the more ‘free speech’ place.

I would not be surprised if Rumble and/or Brand set this all up to drive more traffic to Rumble knowing that some 20 year old accusation won't lead to any kind of conviction and knowing exactly how their competitors would react. If so it would be impressive.
But sadly I kind of think he did it and soon it might get hard defend him and he will only be allowed on Rumble and then he will start doing more things that involve Rumble and then they will probably be forced to do something about him. Russell Brand is being forced in to a corner and having his income shut off and now he has to deal with the lawyers and the courts spending money. It could get very very ugly very fast.
I personally believe the only place for Russell is Nostr and he should begin the transition ASAP.
I will say I do also agree with everything you said and hope Rumble comes out on top after this. Im just not as optimistic
