in 50yrs there aren't going to be any Japanese people. theyre too uptight to make babies.
So they can either import people or slowly dwindle into insignificance.
either way, "Japan" as we think of it, is over.

there’s over 130 million japanese as it stands, the idea that they are just going to plummet to 0 simply because they dont have enough immigration is absurd
its hyperbole.
I think the population is projected to be half that 130m in 50 yrs.
the country will become a tourist attraction. its already halfway there.
Future projections are nearly always wrong, but what’s wrong with a smaller population?
They will dwindle into insignificance and support themselves by whoring their culture to Chinese, Europeans and any economy that has a stronger currency.
Nothing "wrong" with it except I'd personally like to see some of the lessons of Japan taught to the world.
