Okinawa is the origin of karate. There is a long history of tradition & karate culture in its bones & many make the pilgrimage to train here

We each have personalized gi (top & pants) - I'm getting a second with lighter material for hot weather. We recieve our belts embroidered with our name from our Sensei

I have a very similar pair of Sai. Probably my favorite kobudo practice.

Nunchaku were legal where I studied (New Hampshire), but doubt I can bring them to MA or NY 😂

Tournaments in NY required foam nunchucks if I remember correctly

The crazy thing is it's ok to sell Sai or bring to Canada, just nunchucks (there were some incidents after Bruce Lee movies)

Nunchucks are illegal in Arizona too…and this is in a state where I lawfully can go to the store, buy as many guns as I’d like, hide one in my pants and proudly wear the other on my hip and go to a bar…

The legal standard for granting the government permission to remove the right to keep and bear arms across the board is for weapons that are dangerous AND unusual.

Few own nun-chucks, hence it’s not actually illegal to ban them.

Weapons commonly possessed for lawful purposes may NOT be banned.

But of course everyone pretends they don’t know this standard when passing laws and hence there are always lots of court cases taking their sweet old time to come to the forgone conclusions.

Because they are unusual, it is lawful for the government to ban them. This is true of all dangerous and unusual weapons.

But the government has been explicitly forbade the ability to ban dangerous weapons that are commonly used for lawful purposes.
