could somebody make a @videodownloader bot which gives you the link to the video?

so many lovely videos and memes which i’ve got bookmarked on Damus, which I currently can’t download

just copy the text of the note, then paste the url into a web browser and save it.

copied, pasted the text to the url box in the browser, removed the text that wasn’t the media url and clicked enter, got a 404.

it needs to be way faster and simple.

that, or just that the client showed let me download the video similar to how i already can with images 💜

Yeah, maybe Damus is doing something different.

Amethyst allows me to save images, but for videos I copy the text, pull out the URL, and put it into a browser.

If you open the video in full screen there's a save button in Amethyst
