Cancel culture got ridiculous recently and I would agree that it is more of censorship tool rather then attempt to hold someone accountable.
when someone is remorseful and they learned from their actions and by showing they have changed then that is all that matters. If someone took someone's "free will". Eg. Physical abuse, steal money or defame people then I'd say, this must be dealt with accordingly by the law. Other than this, I am not a fan of using "public sentiment" as a measurement to "cancel" someone like a means of public judgement. I do not participate in it. However, if it comes to company, I do my best to use my own discernment whether or not to consume their products or services — not because what other people thinks but because I did my own research. ☺️👌

The line should have been drawn a long time ago. I never heard anyone ever refer to it as a tool for accountability but it is a form of censorship which contradicts the whole reason why we have rating boards like esrb, pegi, mpaa, & iarc.
If you can't handle something M for mature then change to your pg13 or T program don't be that person who goes on some socal networks cries prejudice & demand show get canceled & hound everyone till you find ppl who agree with you.
Cultural & historic preservation has been under attack for years & today is in peril of being completely out the window. Heres proof of censorship try to find the full oscars award show where will smith slapped chris in perfect quality. I'm waiting.....
Proof is there we should not censor & rewrite history but preserve it & learn from it.
