Short story: Sometime long ago in the past I had a bot posting news links on a specific Facebook page.
Facebook pulls the first image into the FB post.
After 7 years I now got a dissuasion/fine from the DPA… for three images I have to pay a 10.000 € penalty.
Lawyer said there is no chance - I have to pay it. Ruined my business and whole savings from the last years. 😔
Be warned. If you have old FB pages - don‘t just forget them… delete it all.

Good for you mate. Speed up your process and let them chase you in your new place - they can’t do shit.
The process on their side is multiple steps with time in between each, by the time you’re out they can send collectors in your home country but they can’t chase you across jurisdiction for this kind of crap.
I appreciate the idea but I have to be back from time to time to visit family and friends and don‘t want to feel like I have to be on the run. 🥸
