Now if only you could pay people to stop asking if you have a points card! The worst is when you get stuck behind someone who has a points card but it doesn’t work and so they waste 5 minutes with the sales assistant trying to figure out how they can save 5p.

I sometimes use the temporary ones they offer at the till to take advantage of any immediate benefits, pay cash, never register and then throw it away.
