Sad that this is probably an unpopular opinion on here.

Rolling a 5,000lb metal box around to transport your 170lb ass is fiat.

More trails, less roads.

Make consistent fresh air & exercise a normal part of daily routine again. #bikestr #walkstr #trailstr

But how else am I supposed to carry McDonalds and the stupid shit that I bought from the mall back to my place on a bicycle without cup holders?

Modern cities are built with cars in mind, that's why the old European cities are all bicycle friendly.

I wish we had more bike routes.

As an avid cyclist, I'm definitely in full agreement with this.

I understand that cars have utility, especially if you live in a rural community and considering the fact that America's land mass is just fucking massive. But at the same time, I would like to see better biking infrastructure pretty much everywhere and less cars on the road.

honestly i don’t bike, but i work with folks in my city to help make protected bike lanes and safe bike trails, and the joy it has brought to folks is undeniable

I think people beef with 'The Cyclist' (stereotype), but surely everyone agrees riding a bike is magical lol, no?

Cycling in a city made for it, like Rotterdam is incredible

As one who lives in the woods

Garbage

Less roads=less taxes. I agree biking as short transportation makes much more sense than cars.

I drive a 2015 Jetta and I easily get nearly 50 mpg city driving. Posting on nostr and farting probably takes more "energy" than my vehicle does.

Hating on sensible fossil fuel transportation which sustains our economy and built the society we enjoy today is extremely fiat.
