I don't know if most Bitcoiners even notice, as they tend to be very digital, but there's been a war against cash bills and coins, as well.

This isn't a Bitcoin-specific war, it's a self-custody war. We're not supposed to have money we can save or spend freely, even if it's just a $100 bill.

$100’s are the new $20’s

The Great Taking - the time it won't be like gold confiscation. This time it will be ALL THE ASSETS. Everything in digital form will be confiscated. I believe this is where this is heading. After that the pay outs will be made in some form of CBDC. That is the only leash they think they can put societies on.

They will take anything they can get.

Germany realized people put all their money in house construction, so now they discuss reverse-mortgages on houses.

I'm thinking that's the plan for Australia and New Zealand, as well. Nobody has anything except houses, so that's where you need to take it from.

And retirement insurance, capital life insurance, or programs like Riester or 401(k)s.

They can do like Argentina and confiscate those and give you "credits" on the state retirement plan. LOL

I've seen grocery store self checkouts that randomly are card-only. Wear the public down with entropy. You can't be sure cash will work, but you know you can always pay with card.

I wait for the cash machines.

It is a war against/about individual freedom

Small businesses need to be able to get change from banks. Its easy for banks to ween them of by cutting the supply. This is probably why I couldn’t find a single store in my massive local mall to take cash a couple weeks ago.

Noticed the same here… suddenly some shops only want cards or ApplePay and no cash

It's a war against the human mind. Notice how everyone mindlessly complies?
