look for lowest hashrate per watt, any of the bitaxes are gonna be extremely efficient.

Ya man everyone's telling me gamma.... But I want the hex... But then they like if you get the hex might as well get the s9

I don't want this analysis paralyses. I want to mine with something that is silent, won't effect my energy bill, that I can learn in and out how to repair, that I can safely encourage friends and family to run also, and that has a resonable chance to win a block for now and the foreseeable future.... I know it's asking for a lot but I feel like a 1 or more miner does meet these standards if not exceed them.

well, none of the bitaxes have a reasonable chance of getting a block. but they meet your other criteria.

If that was true then why did they win a block? Also which miner do you think has the best chance of winning a block that is small and silent and open source and take low electricity?

the chance of one bitaxe winning a block is around once every 3300 years at current difficulty. Is it possible? yes, but would i call that reasonable to expect to hit a block in your lifetime? no.

The Gamma has the most efficient chip to date. It is the best option as far as efficiency goes.
