I want something to draw on digitally. I am no pro. Just want to doodle and its probably the only thing i would use the device for. I am looking at much older iPads or surface devices. Like I want to spend 300 max. Any ideas on what might be best? I would love to run Linux on a surface but I don't know if that makes any sense.
Love some suggestions.

I only use ipad and the app pro create for that. Or back to the roots just a blackbook ✍️
Cheap Lenovo Tab M11 with the pen. Runs Krita bèta on Android just fine. Comes with free version of sketchpad.
if you can get the Google Pixel tablet (used maybe), you can run #GrapheneOS on it. if security/privacy are a concern.
