"Monero guys" are in Bitcoin for longer than most toxic Bitcoin maxis. Both will coexist and have their use case. I don't believe btc will fail tho.

Bitcoin will "fail" because the only people and institutions who will want to store their assets in a transparent surveilled ledger will be the ones who can exert force to protect them.
The rest will instead use custodians.
Those custodian can of course be pressured, therefore Bitcoin loses its censorship resistant properties and has "failed."
Monero persists in the shadows.
i might ask for maxis to explain to me how institutional adoption results NOT in regulatory capure
but instead, at some point, the govt values their BTC so much they just voluntarily give up their ability to,
