So we have this new bot now, apparently it checks your dms in some way
NIP-04 is designed in a way that metadata is leaked. Using NIP-17 you can avoid this issue (enable gift-wrapped DMs)
This issue existed before this bot raised awareness of this :)

Yes. And both parties have to use a client that supports this.
In amethyst you can click the secret agent symbol when messaging someone.
