First ripe melon. I hope it tastes good it smells amazing. This is year 3 or 4 of crossing pretty much every melon a PNW seed company has to offer.

Did you cross the seeds the first year and save seeds or continuously?

I saved the earliest of the crosses for the first year, each year I add bought seed to the mix. Now I am selecting early and tasty. I probably will add seed one more year. Then select from there with only my seed. I’m not concerned with stability I just want ripe sweet melons that are above 2 pounds. 4 to 6 pounds better, but for my climate that might be asking too much.
