My current employer wanted to counter offer what I got from the employer I'm going to.

They explained yesterday they really hate to lose me and are willing to do whatever it takes to keep me.

I had what I believed was a fair request for changes that would keep me. The president calls my manager in and she sits next to me, eyeballs my ideas and proceeds to railroad me from the onset. Doesn't even let me explain what I had and says I dont produce enough to receive a managerial position.

I didn't even have that on my list and for the past year I've been the only consistent inspector. everyone else has quit.

I didn't even have to decide.

never marry yourself to your employers pavement

if you're in a situation that isn't great but isnt bad enough to make you quit outright....go get better, don't ever feel stuck
