I wish there was an pure eInk laptop .. terminal only .. low price and infinite battery :-)

nice. it says it comes with pre-loaded playstore, but I assume it's possible to install APKs and all that ?

yea, side loaded nostr:nprofile1qqs83nn04fezvsu89p8xg7axjwye2u67errat3dx2um725fs7qnrqlgzqtdq0

had a boox for a few years and 6 months ago switched to a color** bigme. They are both decent but there is always ongoing community concerns about their closed source and what data they phone home.

An e-ink graphene would be nice, the colour palette matches

** barely useful. Both are kindle formfactor, not phone but iirc bigme has a phone formfactor too. weird name ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Damn that is slick

Yep been thinking about grabbing one of these.

๐Ÿ‘€

With graphene or stock

graphene only supports pixels

its not stock either, they modified it a bit to work better with e ink

probably should not trust it with anything sensitive

They should somehow add the book smell

These devices don't have cellular data though, correct?

correct, wifi only

call me when they have cellular data

Might have to try that out. Currently debloating and removing apps from an old android phone.

How much google ๐Ÿ’ฉ is forced on you with the device?

actually none, unless you want to use Google Play apps. But zapstore is perfect as an alternative

Been running a Hisense A9 with lineage OS, it's really good for removing myself from legacy social media. It has a sim card

GrapheneOS COMPATIBLE?

๐Ÿ‘€

Itโ€™s allegedly violated GPL compliance by not releasing Linux kernel source code, which makes it impossible to use custom OS like lineage OS.

Can also confirm. I mostly use as an e-reader, but installing ZapStore right away gives the best functionality.
