One problem with the No Tax on Tips is it sounds good but will likely benefit companies more than individuals.

In the US tip culture is ridiculous, DoorDash drivers for example make much more from people tipping them then DoorDash themselves pay, and DoorDash uses this to pay less.

When you take tax off tips it sounds nice, "Everyone is going to be able to keep more of their money"

Wrong.

Companies will cut costs anywhere they can, if you not taxed on tips, you keep more money.

But if you are keeping more of your money, guess what, They are going to pay YOU even less because they can!

Now they have customers paying your salary while the fat cats retain more of the profits.

It's yet another strategic move by Trump to make his billionaire friends happy.

Tipping is the biggest scam.

If I have already paid for meal and the service, and your employer decides not to pay you for working, why the fuck should it be my responsibility to pay again?

That's all tipping is, corrupt corporations pushing the burden of paying wages onto the customer.

Any business where tips are expected should be boycotted

Yes, I am all for giving a tip when I feel someone deserves it, but any time one is requested I'm like nope!

I bought a bottle of water at a festival, it was already like $3, I grabbed it out of a cooler myself and the machine asked for a tip.

i like tipping, just like i like being tipped. but, yeah, don't tip a machine bot ffs 😅

i'd like to think tipping makes for better experience for all, and not taxing it sounds great to me. i suppose we will see, what happens. many tips go unreported anyway, i like to cash tip when i can even if i pay with a card.
