I hear you and I agree that due process matters. No one’s saying people should be deported without identification or legal procedure. But what we are saying is that the current system is overwhelmed, deliberately slow-walked, and in many cases, simply not enforcing the law at all. This is by design from democrats.

The result? Tens of thousands of people released into the interior without a court date, or with one years down the line. Many never show up. And DHS itself admits it has no clear handle on who’s here illegally.

The idea isn’t to grab innocent people it’s to return to a lawful process where immigration laws are actually enforced, not ignored. Without enforcement, the “rule of law” becomes just words.

it’s also right now by design that GOP is cutting the legal immigration system and immigration court which would SPEED UP this process and actually legally deport more undocumented people. We need more judges and immigration court workers. But they’re cutting it intentionally to then say “well we can’t possible get to them all lawfully, so we’re just gonna shoot from the hip.”

The answer to the problems that, yes democrats created way too much of with an immigrant crisis, is not to gut funding to help fix this problem, its to increase lawful paths to legal status AND speed up deportation so that dangerous people aren’t just in our streets in escaping detention.

If we could get past partisan debate on this in dc, we need a coalition of tough on boarder GOP, and those in the DNC, to meet and work together on this. They won’t, and we all lose.
