Your missing my point. A monopoly has already formed. While it may give you savings in the short term, a power structure already has its tentacles wrapped around it, ready to control society as it alway has. If Bitcoin was to become a social norm for societal spending over fiat currency, nothing would have changed. People, as a whole, are sheeple. They don’t want change, they like their corporations and and plastic trinkets. They’ll be quite happy to be tracked and traced via government/corporate approved wallets. You may well be rich for a while but that wealth will depreciate for future generations and mankind will be back to square one by design.
