Only to find out that Nostr is a walled garden where the main relays/mobile apps actively censor the users. Nostr effectively has no competitive edge over the mainstream social media networks as they solicit the same practices they pretend to oppose. Just like my profile says “I’m just passing through”. If anyone one wants the electric rubbish coin I have accumulated I’d be happy to send it to you before I leave. I have no need or use for it. There are far better censorship alternatives out there to stay connected socially. I’ll leave this CIA/MOSAD operation called Nostr in about a day. Thank goodness for the open source community desk clients and browser clients. I disagree. Again why aren’t they disclosing this censorship on their prospective app stores? Marketing as censorship free is disingenuous. I’m beginning to view Nostr as a walled garden especially when censorship is implemented on the relays themselves. Marketing Nostr as censorship free is a lie. Can’t be censored is a lie. You can argue that people can start their own relays but that defeats the purpose of social media. The marketing should change to reflect this. Again I’ll reiterate, can’t be censored is the competitive edge that is being marketed. If the main relays that are recommended by Nostr and app devs are walled gardens this should be disclosed. How is this any different to any other mainstream social media? What is the competitive edge?

I have no problems with app devs stating that they actively filter users (use what ever BS marketing terms they like) but to state they are a 100% what you see is what you get Nostr Client is very deceitful. Will the devs place a disclaimer on their prospective apps/web clients? I think not. Perhaps give the users a choice with a toggle switch stating pure Nostr mode and Facebook Dev fantasy land mode would be an option.

Trump has recently allowed banks to hold and loan BTC which means they’ll accumulate interest as they always have. Slowly more laws will pass on how it can be exchanged and what the government/corporate approved wallets for spending will be, for safety of course. Unapproved wallets will be taken off phones via the Apple and Google app stores, a monopoly will ensue. Now you’re left with a wallet on a phone that records your movements, transactions and who you interact with which leaves people worse off than what they were before. Don’t get me wrong, you’ll have a couple of good years with trump as he builds the 15 minute cities and the AI farms to govern them. He’ll want as much positivity about crypto as he can. But at the end of the day people who have self custody of wallets will start trading in the black markets over an internet that is monitored by quantum levels of AI. Utopia doesn’t exist.

Yeah about those circles lol; good money will never exist due to human nature, corporate greed and pursuits for power. Monopolies will always occur under the guise of capitalism. There is no monetary solution and there is no such thing as good money. I don’t advocate for communism either, so I am clear. The issues you speak of, at its core, are societal issues and the acceptance of circumstances by a very disconnected community to live that way.
