He can say it. But users have the right to not see him. And that's what we are providing. He doesn't have any right to force people to see his posts.

If you’re not satisfied and don’t like what he posts, you shouldn’t decide and recommend to block/report/mute him ! Especially when you’re the boss of one of the biggest clients !
Vitor isnt blocking anyone. The client has a feature and people are using it. People get tired of hassrasing notes and notes telling us to kill ourselves in the comments.
Its a feature not a bug
I have not blocked him myself. He is the one hitting spam filters, the same ones that catch most of the airdrop scams on nostr. That filter is enabled by default for all new users. Then they can disable it if they want.
We are one of the biggest clients exactly because of the choices we make to protect new users while giving them the option to disable it when they are ready.

He is not the bot, he is not spamming, yes he is trolling and he is saying niga words or he hates jews, I don’t think that he should be not visible and censored ! Bad precedent we have !
That approach will always exist. The real question is about free market and value. If you think those things should not be blocked, I am sure a client and a relay that don't block those is going to appear and take over all the clients with filters today (which is all of them).
I think clients without filters have existed and failed miserably. Turns out people don't like seeing those things and just migrate to clients that offer better content out of the box.
The free market will choose the winners.
In the end, you can always say what you want on Nostr. But that doesn't trump the reader's right of choosing the best content.
You all are dependent on opensats, jack, VCs - so I guess your point about “the fee market” doesn’t exists here ! Nostr will never see new users and gonna loose because it’s small and the censorship precedents are being pushed between the devs and since it’s small network and few people working on it the coop between few of you might kill it and you will end up like a woke bluesky! Basically nostr is already one step there !
The point remains. Even with all the money from open sats, there should be a client that takes over if people want to see that content.
Remember, the money is also part of the free market. It's his private money. There is no government or dictator forcing you to use the current filtered apps.

This feature should be more noticeable, or explained better, perhaps have a link to docs, or guides, or a tab that says help.
The fact this feature is hidden away leads to an opportunity for it to be abused by censoreous entities.
It's ok to hide away bots, and spammers but an alteration to the algorithm may be beneficial.

It needs to be modified to prevent the slippery slope into tyranny, let people chose their own experience, don't have an experience decided for them by default.
So users have the ability to block and filter people themselves. But app devs and servers make that decision for people…. How is this different to the clear net again? The marketing strategy is free speech, yet free speech is taken away if the speech isn’t kosher. I think I’ve seen all I need to see here. Good luck with the user growth. App devs will always pick how and what to show. That is inevitable. You can see how your feed looks completely different in every client. Those are devs choices we make almost every day. It will never be all the same on all clients.
Relays also have the same choice. In the end, you are using everybody's private property. And, if you have no contract with them, they can do whatever they want with your data.
Then their advertising is disingenuous. I have no problems with app devs stating that they actively filter users (use what ever BS marketing terms they like) but to state they are a 100% what you see is what you get Nostr Client is very deceitful. Will the devs place a disclaimer on their prospective apps/web clients? I think not. Perhaps give the users a choice with a toggle switch stating pure Nostr mode and Facebook Dev fantasy land mode would be an option.
I don't think that will ever be possible. Devs are always choosing what to show. If you don't implement a single nip, for instance, you are blocking those types of posts. And devs cannot implement everything anymore. So, what you see will always be what the devs chooses to code for you to see.
Thank goodness for the open source community desk clients and browser clients. I disagree. Again why aren’t they disclosing this censorship on their prospective app stores? Marketing as censorship free is disingenuous. I’m beginning to view Nostr as a walled garden especially when censorship is implemented on the relays themselves. Marketing Nostr as censorship free is a lie. Can’t be censored is a lie. You can argue that people can start their own relays but that defeats the purpose of social media. The marketing should change to reflect this. Again I’ll reiterate, can’t be censored is the competitive edge that is being marketed. If the main relays that are recommended by Nostr and app devs are walled gardens this should be disclosed. How is this any different to any other mainstream social media? What is the competitive edge? 
The keyword is censorship-resistant. There are as many opions about censorship as there are clients and relays. Some things should be censored... it's the moderators with their agendas that are the problem.
