My nostr client app doesn't filter my subscriptions according to someone else's taste, or some supersmart algorithm

Spammer was an edge case, and users have no choice. Either ban ALL "spammers" (by personal definition of app's author) or disable ALL filters

The list of spammers is something I couldn't find anywhere, not make make exceptions to it, etc

So app just changes my follow list without my consent

Also the relays do the censoring, apparently. This just puts it in same shitty bucket as mastodon. Just bunch of fragmented isolated clusters with censorship by power tripping dorks

I blocked him too, of course

The key is *I*

We don't need another censoring authority telling us what content should appear on our screens

-= Nostr Fixes AI, Again =-

I updated the model on HuggingFace. There are many improvements to answers. I am not claiming that Nostr knows everything. Never claiming there is no hallucinations either. You can read and judge yourself.

The trainings are continuing and I will also share the answers in the bitcoin and nostr domains in the future, which will be more dramatic. Most of the content on nostr is about bitcoin and nostr itself.

Check the pictures to understand what a default AI and a Nostr aligned AI looks like. The ones on top are default AI and on the bottom are the answers after training with Nostr notes:

The updated model:

https://huggingface.co/some1nostr/Nostr-Llama-3.1-8B

The Nostr 8B model is getting better in terms of human alignment. A few of us are determining how to measure that human alignment by making another LLM. I am getting inputs from these "curators", and also expanding this curator council. If you want to learn more about it or possibly join, DM. We want more curators so our "basedness" will improve thanks to biases going down. The job of a curator is really simple: Deciding what will go into an LLM training. The curator has to have good discernment skills that will give us all clarity about what is beneficial for most humans. This work is separate than Nostr 8B LLM. Nostr 8B LLM is trained completely using Nostr notes.

Wow

Do I understand this right? Someone is training AI to believe in astrology and chemtrails?

Missing flat earth arguments, otherwise full bingo

Yes

Gonna sell my house and buy bitcoins

Also, I will live in bitcoins, I'm sure my family will love it

I'd love to keep the filter actually. I just need to see the contents of what's filtered, and make an exception if necessary

Currently I can't open the profile and I have no idea who else is banned

Im trying to figure out what causes this profile to automatically be added to the block list as soon as I inspect the profile?

Where is this blacklisting stored? Couldn't find this npub in source on GitHub...

Let me tell you about the theory of my weird homelab imagination.

I want to run a rack server in an undisclosed location, with a dynamic IP address. I want it to be flexible so it can be easily moved and resistant to deplatforming. It will host public websites.

It consists of two essential parts: "keystone" and "decoy"

"keystone" is the entrypoint of my rack - one big http server (running caddy, not nginx), that routes traffic to hostnames within my internal network.

"decoy" is a cloud VPS, running nginx, which streams requests to the keystone over WireGuard.

DNS is all pointed at "decoy".

From the outside, it looks like the cloud VPS is hosting the sites. In reality I pay them very little money to just transfer data, and I can easily switch to a different provider. As a result, I get a static IP and a layer of protection/obscurity from the VPS, but the rack will continue to "just work" even if the decoy is changed or even removed. Only DNS entries would need to be updated.

This is not exactly groundbreaking. I know people have used VPNs to route traffic for decades. The main thing that's new is just my weird terminology for it.

To connect the "keystone" and the "decoy" together... I call this "trepanning".

I want to make this easily reproducible so others can copy my setup. Later I will release code and a guide.

What's the plan for dns name takeover? For address?
