Friend just showed me a house he's buying near Edmonton around $450k.
Beautiful home, big, close to downtown.
I feel so stupid being in Toronto wtf am I doing, I legit live in a pod

No idea man.
Move.
Whatβs holding you back? Winters are long in Edmonton. Chinooks are nice in the south.
All my friends and family are here. They are worth more to me than a nicer house
Life ain't fair but could be much worse
Ah, I thought it was deeper than a house. Youβve mentioned it a couple of times, so I thought there was more that was telling you to leave Toronto.
I agree with the other guy that said move. Unless you have children in Toronto, you can't leave them. Everyone else can come and visit you in your new big house. Just make sure to get a place with extra bedrooms.
Move to Montenegro.
come to Windsor, its better. tho i want to go to Montreal - best city we got hands down
Buy acreage & build your citadel?
Canadians....
Alberta broke records for inter-province immigration last year.
Deadmonton
I looked at brownstones in Toronto late 2005 and the market seemed like a dream compared to San Francisco. Whatβs it like these days?
Like this :(

Go detached only and just ππ
If you include condo pods it brings avg down
I donβt think any of the ones we looked at were detached. My ex really wanted to be close to downtown. Didnβt matter anyway. Relationship ended. I stayed in SF.
SF even stupider than here isn't it (house prices)?
I would say the SF market is historically tougher than the Toronto market. Being on the tip of the peninsula and space being at a premium in SF keeps prices up. I havenβt thought of the Toronto market in years. I was surprised to see how sharply prices have increased.
Iβm about 1.5 hours east of downtown and $450K wonβt get you a condemned property here either. I canβt imagine how frustrating it is for first time buyers. The current system sucks.
Come down to the armpit of canada

Got out of there at the beginning of lockdown and haven't gone back. I really miss the city sometimes but I don't miss living in a 600 square ft box
You just need to get into real estate. Getting a good deal on a home is just right place right time. When the real estate market crashes you find these kind of deals, And when you become familiar with the people buying and selling homes, You catch them taking a loss. Winners and losers my friend. Winners and losers.
I don't see why one would live in a big city if your job doesn't depend on it. Maybe if you want a bigger dating pool...
I do want a bigger dating pool but the girls in Toronto are afraid of climate change and don't want to make babies
They don't appreciate DN?
ππππ thanks to you I was able to understand and laugh at this DN comment in this thread ππ

Big means there is more stuff to clean.
