The one thing I hate about living in #australia is how difficult it can be to get decent computer parts; that and there is almost no quality 2nd user market. Trying to spec out a Threadripper Pro #homelab #proxmox build and finding components is Zzzz.....

I have this issue too. It is easy to get regular PC parts relatively cheaply but it is hard to find a good choice of server grade parts for a home server build.

What are you running if anything right now ?

For my home server it’s currently just an older 4 core Xeon in a Supermicro board, running Proxmox. It is fine for the few small VMs that I’m running at the moment but not enough cores and RAM for some of the work related lab testing I would like to do sometimes. I’ve also got an Intel NUC that I am running as a Lightning node.
