Jim Beam warehouse floor boards all assembled and stained on this beast of a table. The gel stain I used evened out the tone of the various wood species, when the Jim Beam warehouse was built in the early 1900s, the floorboards were made from whatever was close by in Kentucky: oak, fir, spruce, hemlock, and some poplar. All of these pieces came from floor boards that were 2” thick and some of them smell like bourbon when they’re cut.
